These pics are from a school I was called to change a couple ballasts for.... I noticed the electrical room opened and the covers off the gear.... The Janitor laid blame on A/C techs that were there previously......

At the end of the day, it's all very well to blame someone else but, the fact of the matter is, the Janitor should have got the A/C people to come back and put the covers back on.

Even scarrier, the Gear looks like "GTE / SYLVANIA", of which has an 85% (±10%) chance of being an extreme PITA when replacing Deadfront covers.

Looks like they have a 110.26 issue too with that storage shelf unit.

electricman2,
Yeah I can't help but agree with you there.
Guys,
It seems that a lot of pictures end up here at ECN of rooms that contain Electrical Panels and the majority of them are stacked with all the cr_p under the sun in them as well!. [Linked Image]
Is this because Panels are sited in rooms designated as store rooms or it because people just throw the stuff in there? (as in out of sight, out of mind).
We all know that this is a violation of the Code, but is it that well policed?.
In any room where I've installed any reasonably sized Panel, I've always laid Yellow/Black marker tape on the floor, to mark out an exclusion zone around the front of the Panel, so far this has worked every time.
{Sorry about the thread-jack Randy}
