What would you charge for labor only to install a 4x4x12 wood post.(digging by hand) Install a 100 amp weather proof 4 space panel, meter base, 10' 1 1/4" rigid mast, #4 wire and other hardware related. Cut and re-hook live service drop to new service. Hand dig and install 30' of 3/4" PVC with 3- #6 conductors feeding a well pump. Thanks for any input on this.

We are looking a 8 hours because of the location is a wooded area with lots of tree roots and rocks in the soil. Expecting a rough time on the digging.

We would probably charge 40 bucks per man-hour (you said labor only right?). That might be a little low though - depending on your area.

You might see what a few others around here think - I am still in my amateur phase...

If you could get that for that house, we would be doing houses.

The last time this was discussed, you guys were saying $3500 - $4000.

Where is arsegee?

Don't feel lonely Sparky, I always hated digging and still hate driving the ground rods. Much easier to find kids and pay a little, than kill yourself.

Also gave up on wiring new homes. Never did make the money we should have. I do only additions since I can handle most myself. And since its lower cost the customers don't freak out as easily when the price goes up do to their changes.

Joe (my partner) loves to dig, drive rods, climb in attics, etc. He's got the strength to weight ratio of titanium, and outweighs me by a mere 15 lbs... all muscle mass.

He regulary does mountain climbing, and I've seen him do one-armed pull-ups and push-ups, and pull ups by sqeezing a ceiling joist (not putting any fingers over the top.)

And I have to keep up with this guy!
