sparky — I agree with the kite assessment with one possible exception--it would have been a great place for Ben Franklin to charge up a Leyden Jar with his skeleton key, especially if clear weather was killing the handy lightning activity.

This whole affair is so choked up with wires, it looks like vegetation. [Linked Image]

Not a stick of conduit in sight, boxes (non-weatherproof ones at that) skewed and mounted (?) at all different heights, no meters to speak of... . Wanna bet that lots of those switches are "slugged"?
