Thanks Doug.

I will always wear the RED poppy on Remembrance Day in honour of the 112516 Canadians that lost their lives since WWI in service of our country in the three previous wars Canada was involved in. Without their sacrifice and effort none of us would be living the same free lives we are blessed with today. It is fitting today that we honour our troops fighting for freedom today in Afghanistan and other parts of the world.

Some of them will, and have, sacrificed their lives for the same ideals as their forefathers did in the 20th Century. I am deeply humbled to be a Canadian and that those dedicated volunteers choose to do what they do in order that we can continue to what we do.

Doug:
Sorry to admit that this thread has been on this site for years, and I have not seen it until today.

It's a very, very moving message, one of which I wish could be spread to a lot of people on this side of our border.

I say THANK YOU to you for the post and the bump, and perhaps you could put a link in the General section so us guys down here could see it.

John
