How many times I had to deal with K&T wiring. Yikes. Man that stuff could get scary. I have seen many attics with K&T wiring and there is insulation all around it. ( Sometimes with AL foil backing up against the single wire.)Also how many times I have dropped down a light fixture with K&T wiring only to find 2 bare pieces of copper wire. All the insulation was dried, cracked, and fell off the old RH wire on the K&T.
