I'm doing a townhouse, with 6 units in 1 building, and they are real weird they are all next to eachother but some stack on top of other ones.

I know we can't have a panel on a wall thats shared with a unit nextdoor unless there is a firewall with a 2 hr rating between the units.

So I have this unit that is stacked ontop of a different unit. If I droped my home runs in the ideal spot, it would drop from my unit into a different unit, and then down 1 more level back into my unit where the panel is. Its a straight drop, no jogging over a few feet or anything.

My question is can I run, my HR's through a different unit.

I don't think I can, but I don't have much of a reason why, other than 'better safe, than sorry.' And its a real crappy pull over to this dead space where I can drop down, than I jog back over to where the panel is. Wasting a good 100+' of wire per hr.

We call this place '4 stories of fun.' some units there is acually 40 steps before you get to a living area. And 52 steps to the bedrooms. Yes my feet are killing me. [Linked Image]

Thanks
