By standard, I mean that they are not made for a specific purpose. Or have inline GFCI protection.
I'm under the impression that the cords We use for our work are supposed to have GFCI protection somewhere, either in the circuit or inline.

What can you legally use the little lamp cord (zipcord) extensions for?
