I'm for leaving things the way they are.
The UBB code is quite easy to use, the instructions can be accessed by clicking on the "UBB Code is ON" next to the box when you reply to a thread.
As Paul mentioned, the overuse of quoting on other BB's and newsgroups will drive you nuts.
I'll generally click right off of threads that have repeated quotes.
Also, for anybody that may not know, to copy from another spot.......
(1) You can highlight the text you want by holding down the left mouse button and dragging it over the text that you'd like to copy or save. Let up on mouse button when you want it to stop.
(2) If you hold down the "Ctrl" key, and at the same time press the "C" key, the highlighted text will copy to your computer.
(3) When you are back at the spot where you want the text to appear, again hold down the "Ctrl" key, but this time press the "V" key. The copied text will then paste into the reply.
(By the way, you can copy and paste most all documents from one to another this way, paste to your browser's address bar to avoid typing long web addresses, etc.)
