In the latest issue of the IAEI magazine, May/June 2006, under the UL corner a question was asked if EMT offset connectors or EMT fittings or any kind of fittings are listed for use with threaded hubs, conduit bodies or myers hub. I was taken back by the answer, that all hubs are intended for use with threaded conduit, not fittings. I am hoping someone from UL reads this and could elaborate more. As I see it intended and listed are two different terms. Also what about liquid tight fittings? The answer makes sense that hubs have tapered threads as in threaded conduit, but fittings are straight threads. What do you guys think?
