A few years ago I installed some crimp-on terminals to make an unsized conductor (for voltage drop) fit into a smaller size lug.
Now I've got a 500kcmil that needs to fit in a smaller lug and I've forgotten who makes those things. The pin on the lug is quite a bit smaller than the barrel so that it will fit in a lug that was designed for a smaller conductor.
Everything else is properly sized, except that the wire needed to be grossly oversized because of a several hundred foot run.
I know that I can splice to a smaller wire (protected by the breaker) inside of a tap box, but I'd prefer to keep from crowding up my electrical room.
Does anybody know who manufactures these things??
Thanks...
