They should really be spending those billions in barging dirt down from the north and backfilling that place so it is above seal level.
Thank you! I've been saying exactly that since a week after the storm. We have landfills in this country larger and deeper than the hole that's call New Orleans. There is nothing worth saving- fill it in and build on top. The property will be worth much more too.
