Which is about a 2.4% return
before figuring in cost-of-funds, and
big loser after figuring in cost-of-funds. (In other words, the system
never pays for itself, and the gap keeps getting bigger over time.)
It continues to amaze me how journalists can present something like that with a straight face and not comment on the absurdity of the statement.
