Happy Belated Thanksgiving! We are revelling in the blessings we share here - remission being one of the 'biggies', treatments that offer hope, love in this household that makes each day worth greeting and the sheer joy of having family and friends such as all of you found here at ECN.
One of the other moms whose son is just about to finish chemo brought in the most delicious thanksgiving dinner and while there asked my son, Cody, what he was thankful for. His simple response was "Life...and freedom." Not bad for a 9 year old who would normally have no cause for concern for the first while he enjoys the second without a thought about it but who has given up much of the freedom to safeguard his life until he's able to enjoy both together. (You gotta love a kid who makes you think and makes you proud!)
