I take my Klein diagonals and pinch a rib with the very ends of the cutters. Then you just "unscrew" the aluminum about a 1/4 turn and pull it off. Quick, easy and you don't need to carry around an extra tool.
I have been using a Roto-Flex for years but I will certainly try this method
