Reno,

For me, the most referenced "Code" regarding any Seismic Qualifications would be per the CBC; Title 24, Part 2-Volumes 1 and 2.
(BTW, "CBC" = California Building Code).

The Linked Site below has the CCR Title 24, Parts 1 through 12 available for On-Line viewing, or PDF Download...
... and at no charge!!! (read: "FREE!!!") smile yay beer cheers thumbs

US Public Safety Codes

Additionally, Local California Departments of Building and Safety ("DBS") have Bulletins, Requirements, Handouts, etc. per Seismic Qualification.

Lastly, Manufacturers, such as B-Line, have some good Information available for Download.

Several Years back, I had to Compile an array of Seismic Designs and Calcs on a few Projects. These were for Electrical Installs, as well as Generator Pads, and similar "Smaller" Structural Elements.
I downloaded as much as could be found!
