Didn't Wal-Mart pay big time in 2009 because of a court case in the US for having staff work off the clock stocking shelves and cleaning the stores?

As to the question of what happens to you if something happens and you are not punched in, I would guess to bad so sad. As far as I know WCB payments only apply if you are "on the clock".
