I do Electrical Plan Review in a Twp in NJ. Resi, Comm, Ind., etc. Only for NEC compliance, as required by the NJ UCC (Uniform Construction Code; 5:23 et al))
Errors/omissions are addressed to the design professional for corrections, as required. Either new plans, or verbage that are signed/sealed by the EE/PE/Arch.
Keep in mind that I am an Electrical Sub-Code Lic., and this is the NJ procedure in the Twp.
We also do permit processing (fees), and inspections.
Some projects (Hospitals/Schools/some healthcare facilities, etc. are reviewed by the State DCA)
