If that lightning shot was trying to get to ground from a 60' feeder it is no wonder it started taking every other path available.
I have an air terminal directly above my weather station 18' above my roof. That took a direct hit and I only lost the serial port in the PC and the weather sender on the other end. They both almost work but they were wounded. I bet if the station wires were not so close to the conductor down to the ground rod I wouldn't have lost a thing.
