Is there such a thing as a Smoke Detector that could interconnect with others wirelessly?
In other words, In a situation where it's not really mandatory Smoke Detectors are put all throughout the second floor Bedrooms and Hallway and interconnected with 14/3NM. It's not too dificult as there is attic access. It would be real nice to put 1 or more Detectors downstairs and in the Basement, but it can't be done without some cutting and patching. It would be great if there was a way to install Smoke detectors downstairs to an available circuit and have them interconnect somehow with the others.
