Is that pole the end of the circuit?.
It's just that there is a huge bush right in the way behind where the lines would be if they carried on past the pole.

I find one thing rather disconcerting about the first pic Ray, in that the pole is far too close to the road, all that room to the left and they stick the pole there??.
Having a pole that close to the road is just inviting some clown to side-swipe it, bringing the 11kV lines down on to the streetlight, at least the fusing will operate quickly. sick
I really can't see what the person who sleeved them 400V wires with conduit is trying to achieve, they are already insulated to full working voltage anyway, this just looks really shoddy and un-workmanlike.
