That doesn't sound too cool.
I had a vaguely similar experience during a Commercial re-wire I did about 3 years ago.
I was working up in the roof in this rather elderly building, testing and disconnecting various lighting and other circuits.
I was walking across the tops of the ceiling joists and happened to touch an old Lead-sheathed single core wire.
Some idiot had previously disconnected the earthing on the lead sheath, but the Phase wire was still in a fuse in the panel and the wire end was touching the sheath at the other end of the cable. GRRR.
Luckily the ceiling was made of Lath and Plaster and it took my wieght as I fell onto it. [Linked Image]
That experience could have been both embarrassing and expensive, at the same time, as there was a 12 foot drop to the floor below.
