There's a
very nasty habit involved here...over and above what's shown.
The first picture was when this new hire was left on his own for the first time. The decision was made that he could not be left unsupervised, so he worked for a long time with someone watching over his work.
His work improved until he could be left on his own again.
The second picture is of a "side job" that he did. Without someone to answer to, he reverted back to his "default setting" again, and might have well have signed his name to it. There was another side job he did, and the workmanship was pretty much the same.
The big problems on the side jobs?
- They were done with the company's material. (the customer also gave him money to buy material with)
- They were done on company time, while he was supposed to be elsewhere, doing other things.
- At the same time as he was "on the clock", he was charging the customer for this fine side work.
- He never finished the jobs.
I'd say he has a bit of a bad habit with ethics, as well as his hacked out work.
