Joe, are these seen a lot in Boston? I wouldn't be surprised considering the number of old houses there.

Seems like a good safe way for the power company to disconnect your service for non-payment or if you need to do major work in the building - like replacing a fuse box or something and are like me, too chicken to work on live wires [Linked Image].

I'm still amazed there are gas lamps on the street in some areas of Boston - or at least they still were back in 1996 when I visited. [Linked Image]
