Well he is wearing his helmet....

Aside from a hard-hat (mandatory at most construction sites I've seen), what is the proper personal protection gear that should be used when working with (assume de-energized) wiring?

I would think the following:

Safety goggles (so you don't have little chips of wire or other stuff flying into your eyes). I wear eye-glasses...so that may be a bit cumbersome.

Gloves (so you don't get wood or worse, metal splinters - those aren't pretty, I learned the hard way [Linked Image]. Now I wear work gloves)

What else?

A heavy apron, perhaps, maybe so you don't get crap caught in your clothing (down your shirt, etc.)?

I'm curious....

P.S.: PPE stands for Personal Protection Equipment, right?

Also, soldier-boy here looks like he's cutting that cable with a LEATHERMAN multi-tool! [Linked Image] What if it's live??? All good side-cutters I've seen have plastic-insulated handles.
