If that logo is intended to represent a smiling T-slotted version of a 5-15R, they got the long slot on the wrong side.

Unit is hard wired, I believe 60 AMP. All the ID is in Japanese; the replacement English decals had to be installed. I have no clue what that logo means. Nice observation on the T-slot!!

I'm wondering how long before the copper thieves will start cutting the charger cords off of the units?

That's an interesting thought Larry!

AFAIK, its been 'quiet' on this subject around here lately.

They seem to be making a dent in copper theft here with new laws cracking down on the sellers and the scrap yards.
One of the provisions is you can't be paid in cash. They mail you a check.
All transactions are recorded on video.

Re: Copper thieves.

I am envisioning that the charger cable will either be armored under a non scratching protective plastic skin, or the entire cable will be armoured like the pay telephone handsets of old.

Video technology will be used with these devices.

So I rather doubt copper thieves will be targeting power vendors.

Larry:
From what I have seen the pay phone cable to the handset isn't that vandalproof in a lot of areas.

Not that there are that many pay phones still around, but I saw a lot of destroyed/missing handsets over the years.

You may be in a better 'enviornment' up in the north land.
LOL
